We're a team of passionate controls engineers dedicated to delivering smart, reliable automation solutions — and giving back to the community we call home.
In 2017, Zach Ramsey founded RAMZ Controls after seeing a need for systems integrators who had real-world plant experience. RAMZ has grown to become a small team of engineers, backed by a network of trusted partners, that execute projects — both big and small — for the area's best manufacturers.
RAMZ is proud to be a Lancaster County small business and is passionate about giving back to the community.
We like to think RAMZ is unique in many ways, but there are two things that set us apart:
All employees have experience working in large manufacturing facilities — cumulatively almost 75 years of plant engineering experience. We understand the needs of a large production facility that runs 24/7. Our real-world experience seeps into everything we do — from the way we design, to how we develop PLC code, to what our screens look like. Everything is done with ease of use and troubleshooting in mind. We've been there at 3am!
We are committed to Lancaster, York, and the surrounding counties. We don't fly in and fly out for a project. We aren't trying to be a global engineering powerhouse. We want to help local manufacturers with their automation needs. We like to be onsite so we get to know your people, process, and product. And we're in it for the long term!
Behind every project is a group of experienced engineers who genuinely love what they do. Get to know the people at RAMZ.
The Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster holds a special place at RAMZ Controls. Our founder, Zach Ramsey, serves on the Board of Directors — bringing the same commitment and energy he puts into our work to the kids and families served by this incredible organization every single day.
We're not just donors — we're partners. From annual fundraising events to capital campaigns, RAMZ shows up because we believe every young person in Lancaster deserves a safe place to grow, learn, and belong.
Great futures start here — and RAMZ Controls is proud to invest in every one of them.
We believe a thriving business has a responsibility to the community that surrounds it. Giving back isn't an afterthought — it's part of who we are.
Every year during Lancaster County's ExtraGive — one of the largest one-day philanthropy events in the country — each RAMZ Controls team member selects an organization close to their heart. We donate $1,000 in their name to that organization, making it a deeply personal way to multiply our community impact year after year.
